Networking and cooperation
OVGU contributes positively to the sustainable development of regional and global society. The university seeks exchange with business and society and helps to shape it in a constructive way. The exchange serves to demonstrate the benefits of scientific findings for society and to integrate societal demands for scientific problem solutions more strongly into research and teaching. The exchange is strengthened by regional and global partnerships and cooperations.
Progressive Introductory Weeks
The Progressive Introduction Weeks offer students the opportunity to get to know groups, initiatives and associations of the OVGU and the city of Magdeburg.
Eco-Social University Days
The ÖSHT are a series of events and aim to create theoretical knowledge of problems and practical knowledge for action, i.e. to sensitize people to aspects of sustainable development.

"OVGU discusses sustainable" aims to bring together members of the OVGU and create a space for exchange on selected topics in the field of sustainability.
Campus Clean Up
Jeden Monat versammeln wir uns mit fleißigen Helfer*innen auf dem Hauptcampus um gemeinsam Müll zu sammeln und den Campus etwas sauberer zu machen.
Academic Bicycle Challenge (ABC)
The Academic Bicycle Challenge is an international bicycle competition for scientific institutions. OVGU has been successfully participating since 2019.
